I am excited
Hey guys, I have an exciting appointment today. I have a plastic surgery consultation about having the excess skin removed from arms. I know it will be a self pay surgery, but I don't care. I have worked really hard and my arms are really the only place that I am concerned about or self-conscious about. I want to enjoy wearing all the pretty sleeveless shirts and dresses out there without worrying about all that flab flying around every time I move. I have decided this is my reward for all that I have done and been through this past year with my WLS and gall bladder surgery 11 months after that. I am sure I will have to finance it but it will be worth it in the end. My skin has done really well everywhere else but I don't know what happened with those arms. They didn't shrink like everything else. My three year old told me when I was drying my hair one day that I had a waddle on my arm. I mean even she noticed. But if all goes well today, maybe that waddle won't be there for long LOL.
I will let you guys know how it goes. I appreciate all the love and support I have gotten and continue to get from everyone here. This board is really made up of a great bunch of people and I am glad I have you guys.
Have a great week everyone,
Melissa Taylor

Ya know how very jealous of you I will be (not that I am not already)... I hope it works out for you. Let me know the pricing cause I am curious. I am more worried about my tummy and breasts. I still have awhile before I could even start researching the plastic surgery but when my year is here I am gonna be looking.
Good luck and I hope its not that much!! It is definatly gonna be a great reward.
Christine
PS.. Who are you going to?
I went to Dr. Sneider-Reiden (spelling ?). She is really nice and I have seen some of her work on other people. She does really good. The cost for the arms is $4,052.00. Whew!!! And of course insurance won't pay, but they have two financing companies you can go to and one of them even has a thing right now that is 12 months same as cash. But you can finance for up to 48 months if you want to. I found out today it is cheaper to have a breast lift than it is to have skin removed from the arms. Who would have thought, girl? Shows how much I know about plastic surgery. She did say recovery time was about a week of soreness and then two more weeks for the incisions to be completely healed. Should only miss 5 to 7 days of work on average. Some people more some less. I think I am going for it. What do you think?

Darn thats alot of money for arm skin! Dang! Its worth it though girl if thats what you want.
I have heard really good things about that doctor. In fact I heard that she moved here from California and that she did plastic surgery on Cher. No kidding and I heard it from a reliable source. You could double check on that. How cool would that be.
I can deal with the arm skin sag but I want my boobies fixed. I want nice perfect perky boobs that look at ya in the face. haha...
Thanks for giving us the scoop.. Be sure to let us know when you do it. I am for one gonna wanna see the scar. Haha..
Talk to you soon!
Oh Melissa how exciting this is. I can not wait for you to post what all you found out. Like Chrstine I am already jelous of you to. BTW guys I am down 97 lbs as of today. Just 40 more lbs until my dr goal but I wont to lose about 60 more. I know you will be glad to have your body back the way it used to be. Of course this is the first time my body has been in good shape as I have been way overweight my whole life. Best of luck to you girl!
Love ya
Denise
You go girl. You are doing great. 97 pounds gone. You are almost done. I am so proud and happy for you. You always look so happy and full of energy. You are so much fun. We need to get together soon for lunch.
Hey, as far as the plastic surgery goes, Christine had posted a reply to me earlier and I answered her with all of the cost and financing and recovery questions. So go on and read my reply to her on this post. I think I am going for it. I just have to decide when.
Talk to ya later,
Melissa
