Jane, Very Normal. Know that you'll be wrapped in a Quilt of prayers, coming together from 100's of people you will never even know. I got the Methodists in North Mississippi On their knees for you. Let go of worries and get ready to move in to The healthy body you always wished you had. Have the Greatest Ever in the Morning! Best Wishes- Dx

I woke up thinking about you this morning. I knew you would be a bundle of nerves. You will be fine. Honey you dont have to live without food. You still eat. We just dont eat as much. You will get the same full feeling you got before and just like before once your full you'll stop. Its very hard to stretch your pouch. It is easy to stretch the stoma. Dont drink carbonated drinks for awhile. It will stretch the stoma. My nutritionist said it was fine once we heal but thats several months. I had my surgery open and yes it was painful for a few days and you will wonder why in the world did you do this. Its normal but once it starts going away you will feel so good about yourself and be so happy that you did this. I am sure yours will be lap and thats good-- I hear its much easier to recover from. You will HAVE to handle it.. You really wont have a choice afterwards. But you will be fine. You will probably have head hunger and mourn the loss of food for those first few days/weeks while you are on liquids. Thats normal. Once you are released to soft foods you will feel like you have won the best prize in the world. My thoughts are with you all day today and tomorrow. You will be text book perfect. I just know it!
