Snack or meal idea from main board

I don't know about you guys, but I pretty much eat the same foods or types of foods on a daily basis to get in my protein and other needed nutrients. Sometimes I get tired of the same old thing and get excited when I find something new. I was reading the main board yesterday and got a new idea for me anyway. Some of you may already do this, but I had never done it. Somebody posted that they take a single serving thing of cottage cheese and sprinkle sugar free jello on it to flavor it up a bit. I am not a big fan of cottage cheese but I think I could eat it that way because I love that salad made with cottage cheese and jello. Some variations mentioned on the post yesterday were as follows: Cottage cheese with sf strawberry jello and strawberries cut up in it Cottage cheese with sf org. jello with mandarin oranges in it Cottage cheese with sf lemon jello with pineapple tidbits or crushed pineapple I am going to try this. I will be getting a protein as well as fruit at the same time. It also sounds quite tasty. Anyway just wanted to share in case anyone else was in need of something different to eat. Sounds yummy. I eat a lot of FF cottage cheese. These would be great ideas for Easter covered dishes!! I add unflavored protein powder to foods like: oatmeal, LF yogurt, any cold cereal. I enjoy FF sour cream or LF vanilla yogurt and grated carrots (matchstick cut are my favorite) and crushed no sugar pineapple. Sometimes I add a few raisans if I splurge on sugar. I did not realize that carrots had so much natural sugar. Who knew?? They are always the big diet food of a lifetime.

My big thing right now is salad with lots of cheese and tomatoes! I used the pre-packaged SHREDDED lettuce. YUm, but I love cottage cheese with almost any fruit. Favorite is bananas and strawberries or peaches. Smooch Arlies
