H'burg support meeting.

TELL ME WHAT I MISSED AT THE MEETING. I WANNA KNOW !!!!!! HOPE EVERYONE WAS IN FINE FORM (AND SLIMMER). LOVE YALL --GLENDA

We did not have as big a crowd as usual last night. THere were bunches of us missing. We did have some new people there last night, and we were able to answer alot of their questions which was good. We really did cover a lot of ground last night and everyone's issues were touched on in part because of the smaller crowd, I think. So all in all it went really well. We missed you and everyone else. Several of us hung around afterwards and talked for a while which was nice to catch up with everyone. I always like to visit afterwards to just get to know everyone better on a more personal level. Christine enjoyed her vacation and looked great. SHe is just getting smaller and smaller on us. Her sister is still in the process of getting approval and getting excited. And if you can believe it, Barry was there celebrating his one week anniversary. He was doing really well. I was glad to see that after the struggle he had in the hospital. He has already lost 21 pounds. He had the biggest smile the whole meeting. Linda had to leave early to get to her ballroom dancing class. She is getting outgoing on us. I am happy for her. She and her teenage niece are taking the class together. Susan was there and doing really well. Sandra got her approval and was like a kid at Christmas time. I am probably leaving out information but my memory only works for so long LOL. Maybe someone else will post if I forgot something. We did talk about bringing before pictures and wearing our old clothes next meeting to make it fun and interesting especially for those waiting to have surgery so they could really see what a difference it makes. But any way we did miss you and all others who were not there. Maybe we will pack the room next month. Hugs, Melissa Taylor

Missy Lissy, I think you covered it well, except I wanted to do Cart Wheels but opted not to. I think it will be fun to do like a fashion show with the post-ops and their old clothes, let someone be the MC and everything. Maybe give a prize to the one with the worst and best outfit. Oh and please bring the sleep wear too!! Nothing is excluded, I would be willing to bring a gift for a prize and help with the show. Who do we talk to, let's get it started.

Hey Glenda. We sure missed you last night. We did have a good meeting, like Melissa said, I can't get over Barry...what amazing ambition he has!! We did calculate our total weight loss between members who have had the surgery, that was very interesting...I can't remember the exact figure, but I think it was over 1200 lbs. Hope to see you soon.
