Inspired by H'burg lunch.....
I really had a great time at lunch and as I looked down the table at all the post-ops EATING SALAD, I was extremely jealous. I have been craving salad for ages. Of course, Tams and Johnny sitting right beside and in front of me eating that wonderful salad made me nutz! I have tried salad twice. The first time, it just didn't work and the second time I was able to eat a bite, but it felt funny. Well, after leaving Tams' house on my way back home, I called Em and said I would bring supper and asked how Taco Bell sounded. She said good. So all the way from Meridian to Newton, I thought about you guys eating salad and decided well if they can, SURELY by now, I can. So I ordered me a Taco Salad and brought it home. I dumped it out of the shell and the shell went into the garbage (except Polly ate a couple of bites of it), added the salsa and a bit of ranch dressing and dung in. It was great!! My tummy smiled and was so happy!!! I figured since the lettuce was shredded, it had a good chance of staying down since I have eaten all the other stuff in the salad at one time or another with no prob. It was WONDERFUL!!!! Course you know I will be eating my left over salad for a couple more days, but I ATE SALAD!!!!!!!!!!!
tHANKS FOR INSPIRING ME!

I am glad you got your salad. I have been fine on salad. When I say salad though - please understand I am not and have never been a lettuce eater. I eat all the other stuff except the lettuce.
I am glad you came yesterday - it was wonderful to see your smiling face and you are always so upbeat. You are looking great and I jealous that you have lost more weight than me. I am proud of you though and I know you are going to be a great success.
Talk to you soon,
Christine
Hey girl,
I am glad to hear that the salad worked for you. I have done really really good on salad. One thing I have done that I NEVER did in the past was have my dressing on the side and dip. And boy does that work and you dont use near the dressing that you usually would. Best of luck to you and I hope to see you again really soon!
Love ya
Denise
Good Morning Queenie, I am so happy for you! Wow, a salad. How many bites did you eat? I am so afraid, I won't fill full in time to stop. I am so sorry I wasn't able to come to H'burg yesterday. Maybe next time. I am still waiting to hear from Dr. Salameh's office. Enjoyed the refershing visit today. Thanks for your encouraging spirit. Have a very good day.
Smiles, Jan
I am glad you did well with your Taco Salad. I love Taco Salad. Like you, in the beginning, I had some trouble with salad. As a matter of fact, it was just a few months ago that I started tolerating it okay. And boy am I glad because I missed it. Like Denise, I try to dip with my dressing rather than put it all over, and I do use less that way. Enjoy your salad the next two, three, four days LOL.

Hi Arlies,
see I told ya, before you know it, you can eat NORMAL foods again. Isn't it wonderful? I have that iron stomach going on, and I'm SO happy that I did this for a reason, to limit my intake but still be able to enjoy what I like. Taco salad is awesome, I get mine frequently and it takes me three meals or four to demoli**** < used to be ONE meal of course >. Have you tried the one at Wendy's? yum! I just give the chips to the kids and dump the chili over the salad, wohoooo......... ( now you got me drooling, I have to pick one up on the way home! )
Anyways, hope everyone has a great day today, thank god it's thursday, ONE MORE DAY till the weekend < whew>
