Hello everyone, I just thought I would drop a quick line to let everyone know that I am still hanging in here. I have been up and down a lot today. Just very weak feeling, I can't seem to get enough liquids and protein in me at all. I just can't hold anything, if I get 6 oz of protein in a day I am doing good. Popsicles have been a good thing, jello is too sweet. Today I had some ham broth left from a ham my dad baked this week while he was here, and it was the BEST.. but as usual I was full in about two seconds. I will try to update soon. Oh yeah, btw, I have already lost 16 lbs. Unbelievable. Rhonda

Hi Rhonda, I felt very weak after my surgery too. My surgeon told me hydration was the primary focus immediately post-op. I became dehydrated and needed IV fluids twice so sip, sip, sip. Protein will be primary soon enough! I found the first 8 weeks to be the toughest but you'll make it through. By then, the weightloss is so gratifying and motivational you'll be thrilled you did it! Hang in there, Elesha LapRNY 2/26/02 288/165

Hi Rhonda... Look at you! 16 pounds so fast! Thats amazing. I am sorry you are so weak. It is very hard in the beginning. Its emotionally draining as well as physically. Its impossible at your stage to get in all your liquids and protein. Just keep trying and evenutally you will get it all in. Are you drinking shakes? They have about 20g of protein in 1 shake. Let me know if you need anything. Christine
