I know Iwill feel different in about a week, but I am not able to take care of myself, I walk around like my mawmaw did when I was a child. I am in pain as well. But I am back and trying to make the best of what I can. Boy is it hard to get the protein drinks and water in in one day!! I will get my drains removed Monday, what a relief! I need to go and walk around so I can lay down! Talk to ya'll later. Oh yeah!! I do reconize that I am on the loosing side and will appreciate it!! Daph

Daphne hang in there, girl, you're on your way, you're just not feeling good and you're just starting to heal, and it just takes a little while. Try to get walking as much as you can, and every single day will get better, I promise ! This surgery ain't easy, anyone who says we take the "easy way out", I tell, you go ahead and have them cut you wide open and disect you, then let's talk. Just do your best with the water and protein, no one expects you to get it all in the first weeks , but you gotta keep working on it and make it become a habit. You can do it, I promise, you'll be just fine! It's normal to feel this way, and once you get the drains out, you REALLY will be a lot better. I know they bugged me SO much, I hated those things. Keep posting, and we're here for you!! one day at a time ~Andie~

You are pretty normal, I'd say.....I remember coming home and deciding that if I lay on my left side, I'd feel better and maybe it wouldn't hurt (I had it down lap) and got stuck!!! I couldn't move!!! DH had to use the bottom sheet like a draw sheet and roll me over. I was miserable for a week or so and couldn't do anything! Poor DH and Em were life savers!!! Hang in there, it DOES get better, I promise!!! Smooch Arlies

Don't Give UP!!! Remember me? My surgery was February 24, Thursday before yours. One good thing - I came home with no drains. BUT! I have an 8 in*****ision with tire marks going straight up from my bellybutton. I came home on Monday and thought I was dying Tuesday morning. Wednesday was better, Thursday better than that, and today was great! I am sore, but my desire for sustanance has returned. Those first few days my husband was constantly standing in front of me saying drink this. According to my scales, I have lost 24 lbs since my surgery 8 days ago. I never thought that was possible. It will work that way for you too. One day at a time. Susan Hughes
