Update on Susan
Hey! Just thought I would let you guys know where I am. I AM GREAT!! At the meeting that I went to on Monday night before my surgery Thursday, Glenda Rowell reminded me over and over that each day had to be taken one at a time, and each day would be better than the one before. She was sooooooooo right! I came home Monday and still felt like a Mac Truck had run over me. I was sure it had, the tracks are running down my belly! Tuesday morning I awoke with GAS!!! I panicked! I am usually not that unoptomistic, but I just knew something was ROTTING inside of me and that was what was causing the gas! After talking with Janet at Dr. Whitehead's office I chewed two TUMS, EX Sugar Free. Wonderful stuff! No more gas! Wednesday morning was a little better. And the day got better as it got longer. GUESS WHAT!! I SLEPT ALL NIGHT!! Got up at 5 a.m. to potty and stayed up to watch Gunsmoke. Had a little nap before 8 a.m., but since then have been going strong! I rode with my sweetheart to run errands, went to Walmart (rode a cart there) and got home about four hours after we left. I am NOT exhausted! In fact, I have energy that I never thought I would have again. And you know what! The tracks are still there, but bet that was just a 4-wheeler, not an 18 wheeler! Maybe the rain will be gone enough tomorrow for me to get outside and walk a bit out there.
I'm soooooooo glad I didn't chicken out!
I'm so sorry Rhonda is having such a hard time. She has always lifted everyone else so much, seems unfair that she is having such problems. She's on my prayer list.
Will update again later,
Susan Hughes
