Hey guys, I work for a 10 bed in-patient Gereatric Psych unit as a Health Information Clerk. My Dr. that runs the unit shares an office with me (he is there 3 days a week). Well he died this afternoon in a plane crash close to his house. He was driving the plane. He was from Meridian MS. Dr. George Twente. I feel like I lost a good friend. Also pray for our work condition we don't know what this means for us. Please pray for his family. Thanks guys Joyce

Hi Joyce! I hate to hear this about Dr. Twente....such a tragedy.....none of us know when we leave our homes if we'll make it back or not.....so very sad.......I didn't know him but i will sure keep him and his family in my prayers.....and also you......my husband has had a small plane for most of his adult life....i rode with him on many occasions.....he sold it about 3 years ago and i was so glad......seems that those smaller planes are much more apt to have trouble.......i prayed every time we left the ground and every time we got back on the ground......take care and again, prayers for you and his family.......

Hi Everyone. I mainly joined this board to post to Joyce's message. Dr. Twente was very dear to me. I met him in 1985 (approx.) when my parents placed me in Charter Retreat Hospital in Decatur, AL. I owe so much to him and all that he taught me in many areas. The thing I remember the most was before he he totally found his Spirituality, he taught me of Imagry and the Tree of Life. Although, he stopped teaching that because of the non-Christian things that were taught about it, I was able over the years to take that teaching and place it in a Christian sense. It's helped me through many rough times. Dr. Twente was a wonderful Christian man. Although, I have cried since the news here told of the accident, I know that his legacy will carry on in many people. I know he is looking down on us from Heaven and is still teaching us things in a Spirital way. My condolences go out to his family and friends. I share your pain of the loss of a wonderful man. I know that we will all meet with him again. I would love to talk with some that knew him in the later years if anyone would like to talk. Family included. And if there are any announcements in regards to funeral arrangements, PLEASE email me. God Speed Dr. Twente..........You are now free to fly that plane in the sky way beyond what you ever dreamed. You are loved and will be missed until the day we all meet again. Jennifer Jones
