6 Month Check Up
Hi Everyone,
I don't post much on here, but I do lurk daily. Just wanted to let you all know that I went for my 6 month check up last Thursday and I am down 78 pounds from surgery. All of my lab work came back normal. Dr. Ludwig says I'm 32 pounds from goal. I feel so much better with the weight gone and am lovin life. This past weekend I went to a team penning (this is a horseback sport for those who don't know) and instead of jus****ching my husband and kids compete, I rode. Something I would have never done before loosing the weight. Not only did I compete, my team made it through the long go, short go and the finals and placed third and got a paycheck. WoooHoooo! I missed ya'll at last months support meeting, but looking forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday.

WOOOHOOO Melinda !!!!
That is great news. I am soooo happy for you.
Team penning huh ? I love my horses. They are (some of) my babies.
I'll be soooo glad to go back to riding. Where do you compete at ?
You must really be getting out there now and living it up. And that is the best thing. Enjoy Life !!!

Hey,
I have a gelding (Montana) that is APHA registered. And we have a miniture mare named June. They are my babies. They follow us every where we go, even around the yard when we let them in it.
Montana was given to me by someone who "couldn't" take care of him.
They kept him in a "round pen" made up of "part of a house" and "cars" !!!
June we bought from a lady that kept her tied up in a barn all the time. She isn't very friendly, but she is comming around. Now we can pet on her and brush her. She has major trust issues. June is alot better than she was. She had to fight for every bite of food that she got. So with that in mind, I fully understand her being the way she is. Both were so skinny, now they're fat & sassy. Strange what love & food will do.
One day I caught Montana shaking the devil out of my bird feeders.
I almost died laughing at him. I guess he wanted his part too though. Now the bird feeders come down when we let them in the yard.
And he gets his big butt on my porch and looks in my storm door at us !!! Thank God we have a concrete and brick trimmed porch, cause he climbs right on up those three steps like they are not even there.
I honestly think that if we didn't have a fence around our swimming pool, they would try to get in it with us when we are in it durring the summer months.
When they are in the yard, feeding time is so much fun at my house !!!
Both will try to eat the cats food, and they run the dogs off from their food. They do their best to run the chickens away from their food. Through the fence now !!! But the horse's don't care. If they see food, they want their share. They are a mess !!! A good mess though.
You'll have to email me so we can talk horse !!! [email protected]
Here is a link to where you can see all of my babies.

I just looked at your babies and laughed my guts out at that picture of those cats. I think it was titled Zoes Kittens. That kitten on the bottom... hehehe...
Was that blackbeard I saw?? Yummy... He is getting all plump for me.
That is some beautiful horses! Can you ride them? If yes, invite me over some time... hehe...
You are such an animal lover. Dont know how you feed them all!
