DEE DEE UPDATE!!!

I found this on the main board, posted by Donna Yarborough: "Dee Dee has been doing absolutely great since yesterdays revision, she has not requested pain medicine one time, boy is she a trooper. She said last night she couldn't get any sleep because they came in every hour, but other than that she feels just fine, swallow test was OK, and she is ready to go home. I am passing messages on to her.....Thank you all!!!"

And this was posted yesterday by T J: "Sorry it has taken so long to update DeeDee's status. I just got home from the hospital and it is 1 a.m. DeeDee made it through the revision surgery just fine. It took about 4 hrs and I received a status report every hour during the surgery. She spent about 2 hrs in recovery and then was wheeled into her room. Best news is the Doctor was able to re-work the staple line disruption laproscopically. She has four very small incision and overall is doing great. Very little pain. In fact she has not had any pain medication other than and cobinantion anti-imflammatory / pain IV she gets every 6 hours. The doctor said the revision wnet much better than he anticipated and that everything turned out to be more of a best case scenario than what he was expecting. If all goes well, DeeDee will get to coem home Wednesday. She is sitting on the side of the bed for at least 30 minutes at a time and is to get up and walk tomorrow. She shouldn't have any trouble with that at the rsate she is going. Thanks to all of you for your soncern, well wishes and prayers. All of it has played a very important part in her pre-op prearation and will continue to paly a big role in her recouperation.
