I go for my sleep study tonight...i'm excited......not too excited about the upper GI though....see him this afternoon to schedule that.....that is great about your bill being so little....I'm getting bills right and left from UMC for my blood gas and pulmonary tests, and some other that i don't even know what it is....i'm thinking,,,,GEESH!!! And i haven't even had surgery yet....how am i gonna be able to keep all this straight much less pay it??? lol....Oh well...I'll do it Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise....lol.....Take care girlfriend and you're gonna be walking everywhere before long!!!!
Girl you are doing great!!
I am amazed at the different things you can eat. One year out and I still can't (don't eat) very much meat of any kind. Rice and me don't get along I used to love it. I can eat most vegetables, in spoonfull increments. Most breads and I don't get along either except cornbread-- yummy. One-half of an english muffin w/fat free or low fat cheese is my breakfast when I don't have Go Lean or Total Protein. I have begun to eat oatmeal w/ protein powder and it goes well.
I lived off of lemons, V-8, cooked dry limas, and shakes for weeks when I lost my taste for food.
I have yet to eat a meal in a resturant. I have gone to Ryans and got a carry out plate of veggies. Which lasted two days.
Tommorrow is my one year WLS anniversary. I have an appointment w/pcp and will weigh on those scales. Wish me luck --- I have a number I'm shooting for in lost pounds. However --I'm grateful for every pound I've lost.
Arlies,
Are you able to tolerate scrambled eggs?
Scrambled eggs with cheese was my favorite early on
And so was low carb yogurt with protein powder stirred in.
Also, what about refried beans with cheese?
Those were also my friend when nothing else would work.
I'm guessing you're on the "mushy foods" stage?
I'll try to remember more of the ones that worked well for me.
Sounds like you're moving right along.
Best Wishes-
Dx
Hi,
I just want to say I am so glad you are doing so well. And the eating so interesting to me, doctors are so different we had to stay on liquids for 3 weeks, then soft food. But we have to try and get 64 grams of protien in too. Oh my pouchy so loves salsa. Any ways I am sending many good vibes your way, and many many big hugs,
Hugs from Cali.
