Arlis, I hope you can HELP!!
Hi Arlis,
I have a friend out there who is just going through it. She had her appointment with Dr. Blake cancelled back in October and she has not heard from them. She does have Vocational Rehab. If I remember right you had Vocational Rehab. and changed over to the doctors on the Air Force Base. Can you give her some ideas or suggestions on what she can do? She started this journey before I did and I want to see her on the losing side. Any help you can offer will be helpful. Her name is Parlee. She lurks around the boards so she will see your suggestions.
Bridgett
Hey Bridgett,
Long time, no hear! HOw are you doing??
Nope, I had (have) tricare. Kristi E in Meridian had voc rehab. Parlee needs to call dr. Salameh and get on his list. Her wait will be LONG as they are not accepting new patients. If she has seen Dr. Blake even once, she has a quicker chance. Call the same number as for Dr. B and tell them you wanna get on Dr. S's list. Dr. Whitehead in H'burg was also considering using voc rehab. Don't know how that came out.
Parlee, I know that name....Have we met? You keep lurking and maybe even post! But hang in there and something will work out! Don't give up we gots your back!!!

Arlies
PS I wish I could take everybody to Keesler AFB and get them their surgeries....They are incredible!!
Hey Parlee, just doing a little eaves-dropp, litst, anyway I was bein' nosey! There are a couple of us working the Voc Rehab side. It can be a long journey, but one thing I learned from KE - be perseverant. Call, call again, keep callin until they tell you something concrete and then hold them to it. There are a lot of hurdles to get through before its your turn to be a looser, but I haven't heard anyone say it wasn't worth it. Hang in there, james.
