OT: FYI on income tax prep

Dearest wonderful folks, Some of us are poor folks and can't (or don't) do our own income tax. I, however, am gonna volunteer to do tax prep for those that have a hard time paying the H&R Block or other fees. I will not efile for you because I only have 5 efile slots (saved for blood-family members & Frankie C.), but if you want to do a paper file on your taxes and you need a cheap (free) discreet tax preparer, lemme know..... There is a new section to turbo tax this year called snap tax, if you are filing a 1040EZ or 1040A you can file electronically your federal taxes for only $5.95. This program does not file your state this year because it is new. It will cost $19.99 for federal if you do it on turbo tax but you get your refund back in 10 days. My turbo tax charged $14.95 EACH for Federal and State...Was the $19.99 including state? Did I get rooked??? Smooch Arlies

From the sound of it, I got rooked, I paid $19.99 for federal and $24.99 for State. Oh well, too late now. No biggie. I guess I should not have been in such a hurry. I sent a picture to have my pic posted like yours is. How long will it take? Anyone know? Rhonda

Hi Rhonda, the pic takes about a week or so, give or take a few, depending on how busy the volunteers are. I 'm trying to get a new one up myself, sent in over the weekend, and I got an email today to re-send it... not sure what happened, but I did. So give 'em about a week or so ~Andie~
