OT-CHild Audition Song
Need some suggestions.... There is a group called Treehouse Players here in Hattiesburg that puts on plays once a year. Last year my daughter auditioned and got a part as a Les Enfant (Village Girl) and this year it is time for another audition for the new play.
Last year was our first year and we were play stupid... The director chose a song for Emily and thats what she sang. It was Shortnin Bread. I need some ideas for what she can sing for this years audition. She is 8 years old. She wants to sing a Britney Spears or Raven song and its just too much for her to remember. Anyone have any ideas?
Last years play was Beauty and the Beast---this year it is Wonderland...based on Alice and Wonderland.
This is a huge production here in Hattiesburg. Its open to children 6-17. The younger ones dont get the big roles but I do want her to make it as one of the tourists or something.
Bring on the suggestions!!
Alice: Check out this link with music. It even has the words to them.

I'll keep on thinking !!!
Tammy
Well, I was gonna say "tomorrow" from Annie (Em says they will ALL be singing that).....jest causin' I loves it!
or a church song like "Amazing Grace". I am also partial to "Myriah" from "Paint Your Wagon". Other thoughts: "colors of the wind" from Pocohantas, "Supercalfragalisticexpaldoches" (sP) or "A Spoonful of Sugar" from "Mary Poppins", "Zippity Do Dah" from "Song of the South"
Alot tho depends on how strong her voice is....
Em's suggestion is to use one of the songs from "Little Shop of Horrors"! (I know, I know, I know..... but I got two of them like that Jon and Em.)
