SURGERY DATE!!

I got a surgery date of March 1st. WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!! I will soon join all of you on the losing side! Dr. Mann will be doing my surgery at Keesler Medical Center. I will go in for pre-op on Feb 28. Only 35 days away!! I went shopping this weekend for some of the post op stuff, like carnation instant breakfast. The only one that I saw in 0carbs/fat was in chocolate, do any of you know if it comes in a different flavor? Also, where do I find crystal light in the individual packets? I will take all the advice that you all have to offer. I am so excited!! Love! Rhonda

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MARCH 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MARCH IS A VERY GOOD MONTH!!!! MY BIRTHDAY AND ANNIVERSARY AND YOUR NEW BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!!!!! YOU WILL DO GREAT!!!!!! AH, DR. MANN IS WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! HE HAS THE KINDEST, SWEETEST EYES!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! All we have been able to find is chocolate CISFB. Yuck! The first three shakes were good, but after that I couldn't stand the chocolate. Walmart has Carb Solutions in Vanilla, it's really thick and tastes like sugar cookie dough. I like it. But again, I can't stand the chocolate. BUT THE BEST IS: from bariatriceating.com. The banana flavor, the orange dreamsicle, and the strawberry ice cream flavor are all GREAT!!!!! The commissary has the individual crystal lites in raspberry, lemon and tea flavors..... Smoochies, smoochies, smoochies, smoochies, smoochies!!!!!! Arlies

Congratulations Rhonda! You will be in the best of hands. I dont know anywhere to find the CIB in different flavors around here, if you find some let me know. Are you going to the support group tomorrow night? Amanda

Hey Amanda, Yes I plan to go to the meeting tomorrow night. I am so excited about having a date. The hardest thing for me was telling my mom that I was having it done. I have been putting that off but I figured now that I have a date, I might as well tell her. So I broke down and called her today, she did not take it to well, she is just worried. But by the time I was finished talking to her she was much more calm about it, my dad supports me so he will help win her over. I plan to start looking for the CIB elsewhere, the commissary only had chocolate. I do not eat chocolate, so I have got to find an alternative. I will let you know what I find. Rhonda, I didnt tell my father until after I had surgery, my mom and siblings knew I was having it but didnt know the date. He too was a worry wart and continues to be. I looked at Winn Dixie for the CIB too, I havent seen any at the commissary ever! I am going to the meeting tomorrow night, I hope to see you there. AManda

I went the following website and found out you can order CIB by phone from the company by the case. WOOHOO!!!!! RHONDA!!!! I am excited for you! I remember the day that I got my date! I didn't think it would ever happen. Now I am 4 months post-op and think back. Time is flying now. I know that you will do good. Just remember to get your water and protein in after surgery. And if you arent taking any vitamins yet, it's good to start.
