Progress note

Hey guy, I guess its time I actually posted instead of just crusin' everyone else's posts. I have talked to Voc Rehab and they are sending my file for medical review and to get a decision on yes or no through voc rehab. If they say yes, there is a 90 day window to have surgery or voc rehab closes the file. I have to say this makes me a little nervous with Dr. S being as backed up as he is, but we will just wait and see. Evreything else is going well. I am just REALLY excited about the boarders that have recently had surgery and are doing SO well. Take care, james.

Hi James, Congratulations and welcome. If your first choice of surgeon's cannot fit you in, I have seen many surgeons mentioned on this board. I had mine done in Biloxi but my surgeon has left. Dr Deron Ludwig is in her practice now. Just be sure and check out their initial training, experience with the surgery your considering, success rate and former patient satisfaction. Hey Doc, Glad your posting instead of just reading !!! You keep on reading you may just realize how crazy we are. So, you should feel free to STOP THAT !!! You keep your chin up !!! Don't start worrying over something that may not happen. Surely Voc-Rehab will pay. I mean if they have money, what better person to pay for than you. You've taken all 999 crazy steps AND jumped through all the flamming hoops. What more could it take ? Dr. Salameh is just liable to snap you up in his office one day and be ready to go !!! You have already seen him, right ? So you shouldn't have that extra-long, drawn out, over extended wait. Hang in There !!! Tammy

Well -there you are!! I am glad to hear about Voc Rehab. I know you were concerned about them stopping paying for this surgery. Dr. Salameh seems to be a great doctor and I know his office will do whatever they can to get you in before your 90 day period ends. If not, maybe they can help get you an extension. Either way, its gonna work out for the best. Wont be long now and you will be a LOSER! Neener Neener Neener!!! Christine

I got approved in August and didn't have surgery until April. That 3 month thing must be new. Best of luck to you. I hope it goes through and you get approval quickly! Kitsy

Hey Dr.Gilbert, I agree with Tammy ,they should not make you wait you have jumped through all the necessary "flaming hoops" lol.Here's hoping it goes extra fast for you.Maybe if you told Dr.Salameh about the 3 month deal with Vocational Rehab then he could shuffle some dates around (worth a try) who knows lol.If I had a date I would trade with ya but, you know my situation lol.............Sherry..........
