1/21/05 Fit Day Group (AKA What I ate today)
5:30 2 coffees
1 protein bar
1:00 Lunch 1 protein bar
2 cups coffee
2:00 Snack Bag of popcorn while waiting in the carpool line @ OGLE
4:55 Dinner 4 slices of Summer Sausage while waiting on my catfish
fillet to broil. Boooo, hisssss...BAAD idea!
The worst part of this is that I was really already full from snacking by the time the fillet was done. I ate it anyway, not because I wanted it but just because I had made it! Oh, blak was I ill for the next 30 minutes. I'm still not settled and regret eating any of it.
7:15 5 tortilla chips and LF sour cream
I may get a protein shake in tonight to avoid snacking but right now the thought of anything else makes me want to hurl.
Exercise: Almost 2 mile walked on the track, 30 min weights, 3min 5sec
on the elliptical.
Water: Easily 60oz straight and probably another 40oz in Crystal Light
Vitamins: multi, iron, sublingual B12, 2 potassium. I'll take the calcium
chew tonight.
I hope this post provides insight for someone cuz it certainly shines a light on my short comings on some days. I hope to do better tomorrow.

I didn't have the best day of eating today either. My dad was rushed back to the hospital today. He had some surgery a few weeks ago and had a really hard time, and today they thought he had a blood clot in his leg. He didn't thank goodness. He ended having a cyst that ruptured behind the knee. He is in a great deal of pain, and they may have to do his knee replacement a bit sooner than planned, but he is still with us and healthy. We were scared there for a little while today.

I took 1 multivitamin, 1 B-12, 1 Biotin, 1 calcium chew
Lunch Workout
Should have been at the Y but included pacing at the hospital instead
L Lettuce wrap with tuna salad and a slice of tomato inside
S 1/3 banana with 1 Snack Size Cheddar Cheese
Nervous Snack later in afternoon - 5 low sugar hershey kisses, 2 sf life savers
Evening Workout
30 minutes on elliptical
10 minutes on bycycle
D 7 sm. popcorn shrimp
4 french fries
1/2 hushpuppy
1-1/2 tbs of cole slaw
I know, I know, terrible.
For snack later on in evening I will have one of my low carb brownies that I made iced with sf cream cheese icing (yummy).
I am going to try and stay away from the sf chocolates that talked to me last night and talked me right into eating a few. I am going to not listen to them tonight and be good, I hope. I did have one swallow of my son's strawberry banana smoothie, but it was sugar free so okay there.
I hope to do better next week with my protein. I just can hardly stomach much when it is that time for me. My tummy just can't handle all the protein at that time. Just want bad carbs LOL.
My liquids today included milk, water, tea, diet sunkist orange, more water.

I don't calculate my stuff on Fitday,
But here's today's full intake-
Breakfast - 7:00 -1 egg scrambled with slice of low fat cheese.
Snack - 10:30 -SlimFast Low Carb Shake
Lunch - 1:00 -6 oz tuna with small roma tomato chopped,
...........with flaxseed meal and a tablespoon fat free Italian dressing.
Afternoon Snack - 4:00 -Whey Protein Shake.
Diner - Small Grilled Chicken Breast with steamed cabbage and 2oz butter beans.
( 60gms protein, less than 11 gms Carbs)
Exercise - walked 3 miles.
Water - over 128 oz's.
Vitamins - 2 Flintstones Complete Plus Iron, Prescription Iron capsule,
my once a month B-12 shot, 2 Calcium (Citracal), Folic Acid tablet.
Will have an Isopure in some Crystal-Lite tonight
..........- 25 gms more protein, 0 Carbs and calories.
And a Benedryl capsule soon too if I don't stop sneezing,
Not a cold, maybe allergic to something kicked up by my
Son using the leaf-blower late this afternoon.

Good Morning All,
I need to add that the SF ice cream called my name about midnight. It wasn't exactly getting up in the night and eating. I stayed up late with the kids and movies but I still ate some. Not much, so other than not extinguishing the undesired behavior it wasn't a nutritional disaster.
Melissa, I'm glad your Dad is OK. I may have to try that Lactaid milk, regular doesn't sit well with me anymore.
Hi DX, I don't like to calculate fitday either so I don't post #. I just called it Fitday because that's how it was done before I joined.
Arlies, I'm glad you'll log in soon. I think the real nut and bolts of what we eat at different stages can be important info so pre-ops know there is a difference in people and at different stages. So many people seemed so shocked when they see me eat at parties. They are amazed that I can eat more than a thimble-ful even at 3 years post. It's a great opportunity for community education.
I'm so glad to be here. It's a pleasure to meet everyone. It helps me to know I'll have to post anything I eat! I shall not tell a lie! Thank you guys for reading my ramblings.

My water sucked yesterday. The tamales did me in. I used to could eat 12 tamales at a sitting. Yes, awful isnt it. We have this lady who makes them and brings them around to sell. I ordered half a dozen. Ate 2.5 and gave the rest away. I see by the nutritional facts that I wont be having them again for awhile. My carbs are horrendous. We went to the rodeo last night and I ate that popcorn. Today is a new day though!!
