here is some suggestions for food choices that I have found
I just thought I would post some food out there that I have found to be high in protein and very tolarable for myself that is. lol lol These suggestions are for people who are at least 4 months out. I know that it is hard not to eat fast food. I live about 40 min. from where I work so going home at lunch is not an option for me. Also my hubby works out of town during the week so I am not obligated to cook at night so eating out just works better for me sometimes. Hope some of these suggestions help. We should all post food ideas. Even receipes that we have made up and such.

oven roasted chicken wrap from kentucky fried chicken
(omg this is wonderful. It has the roasted chicken (no skin), with lettace, tomato and a spicy mayo on it. I tell them real light on the mayo. Of course I can only eat half of it but then you have the other half for supper or lunch the next day or even snack for later.)
low carb wrap at subway.
(now I get this with their tuna salad on it. Now believe me when I say that subway has THE BEST tuna salad you will ever put in your mouth!! And you can get this dressed how ever you want it.)
Food Factory.
(ok so this is mainly for people in the h'burg area. This is a home cooking place located in the old mall. It is $5.00 for a plate where you get meat, two veggies, roll and drink. Now you just can not beat that. And this place has the best baked chicken you have ever tasted. Also they have really great veggies to chose from. Lots of times I just get a veggie plate.)
Lenny's
(not sure where all the locations are but we have one here in h'burg. These people also have good tuna salad. I love to get a tuna salad salad from this place. Like subway you can get whatever you want on the salad to.)
Hey girl,
That Food Factory does have some good veggies and you are right about that baked chicken. It is so moist and pouch friendly. My Mom comes and gets me from work about once per week and we go to lunch a good bit there. She gets a plate and I eat off of hers. They give you plenty for the money.
Walnut Street Pharmacy has a good chicken salad salad that I get over there. They give you plenty. I usually eat on that for two days.
I have several good recipes at home that I have gotten from people or made up myself. I will have to get them together and post them when I get a chance.
Take Care,
Melissa
Good suggestions....
Lennys is one of my favorites... I like the chicken salad. I have to start eating healthier.
It truly saddens me about Hulene Gray. I have to work on getting my protein in better.. Today I had several several hairs fall out. My water intake is not good and I HAVE GOT TO try harder!
