finally on the losing side!!!
Becky that is great!! I am going to use Dr.S isn't he wonderful. I need to ask you a question. Does Dr. S give you the morphine pump and does he keep you comfortable. Also I tend to get really scared before surgery and I was wondering if he give you something to calm you down before putting us to sleep. How about UMC was everything ok there as far as the nurses and did they put you in one of those new baratric beds.
Good Luck,
Nan
i did have a morphine pump when i came out. i also got some of the "good" meds before they transfered me to the OR. the were good on my end of the hall at umc, my buddy on the other end said they werent too great. if they are not tending to u like i think they should there is a # u can call- The IV line which is in the hospital. i didnt get one of the new beds, but i was comfortable andyway. overall i had a good experience there. when i came off the pump they gave my liquid lortab. i only took half the dose which was 15cc's, but if that didnt work u could have the whole 30cc's. my overall experience was a good one. dr s was only one of my docs. dr mike berry- a deffinate cutey- was my main doc because he said he would be the one to d/c me. they were all good. there is also another young doc with them with a last name im not gona try to spell. i enjoyed them all tho. things will go fine but remember if u have any problems call that IV line. good luck with everything
Awww man... I wish I had a surgery buddy.. How fun is that.
You sound like you are doing really good. You arent going to be able to EAT every 15 minutes. Its gonna be a challenge. When you do eat- try to eat protein first. We need this importantly.
Sounds like you are doing fantabulous. Keep us updated on your process..
Becky, I am so glad you are home and on the mend. Just take it easy and don't over do it. I knew Dr. Salameh was wonderful, I just had no idea how much he cares about us. I can't give you any advice about eating since I am still waiting, but I am sure the others will help you. Again, glad you are home. Smiles, Jan
