finally on the losing side!!!
well im back home after surgery. all is well and im glad im home. surgery went good after a few bumps in the road before we were even prepped. me and another lady- susan patterson- were both ready to go saturday morning when dr s came in and pretty much said we were screwed and not havin surgery. he pulled alot of strings and i am so thankful for him. we did get our operations done- me @ 11am and susan after 5pm. once again thanks to dr s. it was deffinately not his screw up bc he was in the dark just as we were. but after things got settled both of us came out fine with no complications. i came home tuesday nite and got up now to post. i do have questions tho. i cant eat every 15 minutes, i get sick. i told the dr and he said it was ok just when i do to get the protien down. anyone else have this problem? well other than that as i said things are fine and im moving around pretty good. just a lil pain where my drainage tube is. im glad things are over and so far so good. thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. a lil more support would be nice....i know im not the best at this either but im trying. after having a buddy in the hopsital going thru the same thing i know how much the support helps. we knocked on each others door and walked together and complained together and even tried to laugh a lil. support is the best thing out there. especially if you know what one has been going thru. thanks again..... later
Well I am glad to hear you are home. Glad to hear you are not in much pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you girl. and just think you will be so grateful for all that you have been through in just no time! You know we are all here for you anytime you need to vent, laugh, cry, or just talk.
Love ya
Denise
Hey Becky!!!
I am so glad you are home and doing well!!! If you email me your phone number, we can chat! Thank you so much for calling me the other day. I had had some pain meds, so I don't remember much other than you sounded really hoarse - I know, the tube!
I "eat" 3 times a day. Each meal lasts AT LEAST an hour. Then betwixt times, I sip, sip, sip, sip, sip, and walk to the potty, walk to the potty, walk to the potty, walk to the potty, walk to the potty and walk to the potty!!! The "meal" plan I was given from Keesler is different from what UMC gives and I like it better - to me it makes more sense. I am very very slowly typing it into a word file and when I get it done, I will email it to all who are interested. Don't get discouraged, girl, we gonna get thru this together and then be so cute and skinny that we will knock 'em all dead!!!
Many smoochies![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/love.gif)

there was a situation with the operating rooms. since this was a holiday weekend they only had 1 room runnin and it was full of traumas. they didnt notify dr s or anyone. someone above was watching over us tho, and still are. i really am glad to be on this side of it now. prayers still needed and support tho
Welcome back Becky!! SO glad that everything went well and that you are home again....i think it's wonderful that you had a "buddy" in the hospital to do all those things with.....it had to make things a little easier.....Does everybody come home with a drainage tube? I forgot to ask Arlies if she did.....I know Kristi E. did too.....i heard that it's good to have one though.....Well, take care of yourself.....and enjoy being on the losing side.....I'm gonna get there one day!!! lol.....
