Hey Arlies!!!
I am glad they are cutting you loose from the hospital. I wish you the best. I have checked the board everyday for your progress.
I was a test patient for one of the "bariatric beds" at UMC when I had my WLS. However, none of the staff had been trained on the use of the thing. The sales rep attended my surgery and helped bring me to my room but guess what --the bed would not fit into the doorway!!! The sales rep came 3 of the 4 days I was in UMC. He was one of the last people I saw upon leaving. It was roomy and probably state of the art but I didn' like the fact there was no sheets. Especially when my big butt could not turn one night at 2:00. We (they) put a draw sheet on that baby then.
I was so glad to have had my surgery and morphine pump I would have slept o the floor.
Take care and walk often--this really helped me. Do you want me to send my baby brother to coach you like he did me? I bet you have loads of supporters and coaches.
