Afternoon update on the Queen
I just left the hospital, Arlies is doing very well. She was trying to have her first meal. Chicken broth, sf jello, sf popsicle, sf koolaid. The only thing she seemed to really like was the broth. The rest was kind of yucky to her. She is still in ICU because they could not seem to get any blood out of her today. They did her leak test today and everything went great. She did a whole lot of burping while I was there so she is getting some of that excess gas out of her. I took her some chapstick because when I seen her earlier her lips were cracking, and I took her a teddy bear to hug when she needed to cry. She should be in a regular room tomorrow. I have school in the morning but when I get to work I will call and find out if she has been moved to a room and let all of you know. I told her about the flood of posts all about her on this site and she said she can't wait to get home and read them all. We also told two of the surgeons about this site so they should be checking in on us some.
Take care!
Rhonda
Thank you Rhonda.... I know I loved getting my chicken broth--thats ALL I wanted..Didnt care for anything else.
Do you know if she has gotten her support pages sent to her? If anyone knows please let me know... I can fax them to her this morning. It might make her a little happy!!
I am so glad you are able to go see her. I wish I could.
I told her to take some chapstick for her mouth.... Guess she didnt listen to me.... sigh!
Glad her leak test went well... Hopefully she will get out of ICU today.
