I talked to Arlies

Arlies just called me !!! She sounds Great !!! She has been being sick to her stomach a lot. Now she is burping some which has helped alot. Her voice is really scratchy and her mouth is dry. But she is doing great !!! I am sooooo thrilled that she called me. She said that she didn't even know when they put her to sleep. They were hooking her up to somethings and then the next thing that she knew was them telling her to breath deep. So, I think that is all. I was so thrilled that she asked them to call me long distance in ICU that my mind is running with excitement.... MY BEST FRIEND IS OK !!!! MY BEST FRIEND IS OK !!!! MY BEST FRIEND IS OK !!!! Thank God I am so happy that I can't quit crying.

I just talked to her also, and she sounds great. She sounded thirsty. She will be taken good care of. I plan to go and see her when I get off of work. Rhonda

Hey Girl , I got to meet Arlies wonderful husband Jim and her sister Shirley she is just the sweetest thing I enjoyed being able to visit with them ,they are great,there was no behind the scenes drama lol !!! We were just biting our nails waiting to hear how she was doing...You know how it is hurry up and wait !!!lol but, it was well worth the wait !!!! Thank God!!! I wonder if that little lady in Keesler's ICU has any idea how much she means to us all ?..Sherry...

Sherry, It was great to meet you and Angie Bea today. Sorry I had to run out on you guys but I had to get to work. I went by and seen Arlies when I got off this afternoon around 5:00p.m. She had just been given some pain medication and was practically sleeping sitting up, bless her heart, she tried to stay awake. Then Dr. Jenkins came in and he had her blow on the little respiratory machine and she blew it up to 2400 cc's, he was impressed. Arlies also got up and walked today about 25 steps, which also made the Dr. happy. She seems to be doing really good, Jim is keeping a very close eye on her. He seems like a really sweet and loving man. She was sitting up in a chair because she said she just was not comfortable in the bed. I plan to go by and see her in the morning when I get a break from work, so I will fill you guys in more when I hear more. Take care, and keep the prayers coming.. Rhonda

Hey Rhonda, I enjoyed meeting you too girl .I am so glad you live close by down there you are our designated "on the scene reporter", and to those of us who can't get down there easily it means a whole lot.I just hate I did not get to see Arlies that day but, I doubt if she would have remembered us being there at that time lol......Thanks for the updates girl ,keep em coming...........Sherry......
