Blue cross blue shield of MS

I am a bit concerned. I am brand new here, and just looking into the RNY surgery. I have BCBS of Minnesota, but I live in Mississippi. I wonder if everything has to go through BCBS MS? I have spoken to my insurance, and it is covered with a BMI of greater than or equal to 40, or 35-39 with 1 co-morbidity. I really think I will qualify, but I'm worried about my insurance. I've heard SUCH nightmares. Supposedly I have coverage on this surgery just like anything else... 100% covered with a $250 copay and 10% of hospital room charges. Something is telling me that it seems too easy. Anyone else have a situation where it is supposedly covered, but then ran into problems? Thanks in advance for your help. HUGS Kimberly
