Blue cross blue shield of MS

I may have read this but I will ask anyway. Does Ms BCBS cover GBS? Anyone had experience with that. Jane

Someone on here fought the big fight with BCBS of MS and won and they paid for her surgery. You need to get a copy of your covered benefits manual and make sure its not an exclusion. You can usually get this from your HR dept. I think it is their policy to deny everyone --get your benefits package and see if its an exclusion if not--I suggest you talk to Vickie Rogers. SHe comes here often. THey finally paid for her surgery.

Jane, I have BCBS Mississippi through the University, And they wouldn't pay a cent. Fortunately I also have BCBS Empire, my secondary, Through the Scenic Designers Union out of New York, And they covered everything that my primary Would not. Best Wishes- Dx

Hey Jane, I have bcbs of Tn but they file everything through Ms and I had to appeal but they did pay. I don't know if the benefits are different or the same. Good luck Becky

BCBS state teacher's plan WILL NOT PAY. I appealed twice. Christine is right you should look in your benefits plan book. They paid only $38.00 for the cardiologist to read the test at UMC. They paid this by accident I think. I got my PCP to refer me for sleep lab and BCBS DID PAY. They pay for my monthly or bimonthly blood work ordered by PCP. They paid when I was in hospital w/low magnesium and potassium and cellulitius (skin infection). BCBS is not a good friend but better than nothing. AFLAC disabilty insurance WILL PAY. SPEAK WITH YOUR AGENT. MINE GOT MINE APPROVED W/ very little paperwork.

No, they do not cover it. I have BCBS of MS through the state and through my husband's work. I had to go through VR. Kitsy

Ok I know they have all said it but here it is again BCBS of MS wont pay for any wls as of Novewmber of last yr. There was an article in the sun herald (coast paper) that says BCBS considers all wls as cosmetic and wont pay.

IN A WORD, NO I TRIED APPEALING AND WAS BASICALLY TOLD TO GO AWAY AND DIE AND LEAVE THEM ALONE. WLS IS CONSIDERED COSMETIC SURGERY. MY DR'S WROTE LETTERS DETAILING MY MEDICAL HEALTH WHICH IS BAD, MY BMI AND OTHER THINGS AND THEY WERE VERY RUDE ABOUT IT. THANK GOD FOR VOC REHAB SUSAN
