Chicken and Taters didn't work!

Hi everyone, Began Stage 4 and my first solid meal was baked chicken and taters. However, it became quickly apparent that this was a mistake. The mashed potates were great, but could not handle the chicken. Instead I tried thin sliced deli meat and increased my protein with a new shake from GNC. Now all is well and I feel fine. Will meet everyone that comes to the Meridian support group on the 3rd. Later, Josh

Well Darn Josh, Sorry to hear about the chick n tater. Maybe later on you can handle them better. I look forward to seeing you at the meeting. BTW: I got your email. I love that food. Haven't been to that one yet, just the old one. I know the owners. But that is a matter for private email. If you know what I mean.

Hey Joshie! Sorry about the chicken givin' you fits. I have heard that it is not easy to go down in the beginning. Some folks say if you add a little non-fat gravy to make it moist it will help. I will see you on the 3rd! Smooch, Arlies

Hey Josh, The Deli sliced meat will always be an easy food. The baked chicken is tricky. How bout fish? Tuna salad? That worked ok for me once I advanced to solids. Hope the best for you in the New Year- Best Wishes- Dx

Hiya Josh I'm glad you got you some deli meat. I could not deal with the baked chicken at all the first months, it was too dry and too dense, I stuck with sliced turkey breast ( yummy! ) and baked fish and actually had (sliced fajita) beef before trying chicken again and did fine with it. Now, I have no issues, except with grapes, they make my tummy gurgle and give me that icky feeling?? hmm Good going on the protein shakes, I'm still having at least one a day. In time you'll be just fine with the chicken, too, those tricky first months will be over before you know it. Just be good and don't be lifting anything heavy back at work, ok? Have a Happy New Year !!! ~Andie~
