Hey gang, I just called the ICU waiting room at CMMC and Ruth Yarborough, Donna's Mom answered the phone. Mrs. Yarborough sounds beat. She and Kevin are taking turns staying at night at the hospital. However, Mr. Yarborough is also staying with Mrs. because the hospital could not tell the Mrs. she would be safe there at night alone due to lack of security. First of all, Kevin is not doing too well himself. He has developed gout in his knee and is worn out from the stress of surgery and Donna's condidtion. Donna is a tiny bit better. They have her 0xygen down to 40%, but have not been able to lower it further because at lower than 40%, she does not respond. If they cannot get her off the oxygen then they will have to do a tracheotomy. The Docs says they are optimistic, but recovery will be long and drawn out. The Docs are a bit unsettled about the diagnosis of pneumonia, - some are saying pneumonia, some adult respitatory distress and some wet lung....I dunno the differences in all that... The pic line in her neck had to be taken out and moved to the other side because it got infected. Ya'll Mrs. Yarborough sounds ready to drop. I gave her my number and Angie's (since Angie's is a local call) to call if she needs help. Told her Angie might not be able to drop and come, but she could call one of us and get the help started if something comes up. Honestly all we can do is pray. Mrs. Yarborough is so thankful for all the prayers and says without them, Donna would not have made it this far. Love, Arlies

Thank you so much for the update, Arlies. Sounds like things are getting better but I know its still a long road in front of them. I know her husband and mother are probably physically and emotionally drained but I believe it will all work out. My heart goes out to them and I am still praying for her and her family. Christine

Arlies, Thanks for the update. I'm working at getting Donna's name On to as many prayer lists as I can. It was just such that gave me a miraculous Turnaround and I know there will be one for Donna as well. Thanks for keeping us updated. Best Wishes- Dx

Since I am new to the Mississippi board I do not know what has happened with Donna. I read the updates but do not fully know what is going on. Just glad to hear the update is positive. I know her family is really exhausted and they need prayers too. I will keep both Donna and her family members in my thoughts and prayers. Tell me what has happened to her too if you don't mind. Hey Melissa, Donna Looser had surgery at CMMC and when they did the surgery, there was a bit of scar tissue from her hysterctomy and they took out the scar tissue. Well, it either left an unnoticed hole or one developed because of it - I dunno....And she had to have another surgery to repair that. She has developed some lung problems - pneumonia, wet lung, or adult respiratory distress? - and things are not going well for her...some better, but not much...also her pic line in her neck got infected, too. They moved the pic line to the other side... Smooch, Arlies
