mane and tail shampoo question
Okay so I have read on another gastric bypass board that some people suggest the mane and tail shampoo for the hair falling out problem so I bought the shampoo and conditioner and started using it about 2 weeks ago, but I still do not notice a difference in the amount of hair coming out. I asked my dr could I switch to the prenatal vitamins and he said I could so I had my gyn call some in for me and I started them about 1 week ago. I am hoping this will help with the problem. What have some of you guys tried that might work. I know that I only have about 4 more months of this but sure dont want to be bald by then. lol lol I am 18 weeks out and down 72 lbs. woo hoo for me. lol lol
i want to wish everyone here a very very merry christmas and a happy new year!!!!!!
thanks
Denise
Hi---My hair hasnt started falling out yet. I hope it doesnt!! I dont know much about that shampoo. I used it in high school cause I was told it would make my hair longer and thicker. I dont think it did but I still used it... Maybe those vitamins will help it along. Hopefully it wont be too much longer. Are you getting in alot of protein? I hear this helps too...
If its any consolation--I cannot tell your hair is falling out.

This is my last post --hahaha
I had minimal hair loss and I believe it was because I took high potency biotin supplements twice per day. My hair did fall out some but only I knew it, and it was only for a couple months. It wasn't noticeable to anyone else. The biotin pills are very small and easy to swallow. It also helps with finger nails. Before surgery and always I had paper thin nails. I have the healthiest nails now. They are growing long and really hard. I still religiously take my biotin every day along with a handful of other stuff. They went ahead and did a full blood work up on me the week I had my gallbladder out, and everything was excellent. My B-12 was even in the high normal range. I do the sublingual B-12 twice per day.
Oh, and also I found some stuff at Sally's Beauty Supply by Infusium. It is in a big bottle and it is liquid hair vitamins. I use that every day and that helped with breakage. MOre than actual hair loss I had breakage because my hair was brittle. I started using the hair vitamins daily and a weekly hair mask and that problem went away. Well, anyway I hope this helps.
Merry Christmas,
Melissa Taylor
