Well, I had my gall bladder taken out yesterday morning and got home last night around 6:30. Wanted to keep me overnight but you can't rest in those hospitals so I opted to come home. I am in some pain, but I will make it. My dad did not get out of the hospital yesterday. He had some cardiac problems and they transferred him to the cardiac floor. My husband was at Forrest General in the middle of the night in severe pain. They did a CAT Scan and he has a 4 mm kidney stone. When it rains it pours. I am very anxious and a nervous wreck. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. One neat thing did happen while I was at the hospital yesterday. The nurse was briefing the anestesiologist and said we have a tiny one here. I said boy I have not heard that in years and years. I told them I was not so tiny 11 months ago and that I remembered them from that surgery. They pulled my records from that surgery and hunted down the nurse who took care of me and had her come and see me. She was shocked. It was good seeing her again. She was a really good nurse to me when I had my RNY done. Well, I will update you guys as things change with me and my family that are all falling apart at the same time. Melissa Taylor P.S. Christine, if I feel up to it my husband may bring me to support group Monday night. That is if he has passed his kidney stone by then. If you don't see me you will know I am still recooping or hubby is still down.

Hey Melissa, I am so glad that you are home and OK. I hate to hear about all the other problems though. Maybe your Dad will get well and be home soon. And I hope that your Hubby pass'es that stone quickly, if they can't do anything about it. "A Tiny One Here" that must have made you feel like a million bucks. That is the best thing to hear after surgery I'm sure. Can't wait till I hear that. Know that you and your family are in my prayers. Hugs and Well Wishes, Tammy

Girl, you have so much going on right now. I do hope everyone is up and running before Christmas. My husband had a kidney stone back in the summer and it was awful. I didnt know what was wrong with him...Instantly he just went to the ground in pain and couldnt move. I took him to Immediate Care and they asked for a urine sample and before he could pee the stone fell out. He said it was the size of a writing pin tip. I imagine if your husbands are 4mm he is in severe pain. They say its worse than child birth. I dont ever want to have one. I am sorry about your dad. I hope he gets to come home soon. I hope it is nothing very serious. How exciting about the nurses saying things like that. I hope one day I get reffered to as TINY. I doubt it but maybe.... I do hope to see you Monday night but if not I totally understand. Your families not falling apart your just getting it all out of the way for the New Year. Its gonna be ok soon... If you feel fine Monday but hubby is not feeling so great...gimme a hollar and you can ride with me. Take care and let us know if you all need anything.... PS... I hit my 50 pound mark today! I am so excited. Looking back in my journal I had comments like "Will I make it (NO)" and now I kinda see it might just happen....
