Need a laugh??
Hey guys, I know I don't write much on here, but I read every post. Sometimes it's all that keeps me going. Tomorrow was to be my surgery day, but since my fall, everything has changed. I'm not a sit around person. Four weeks of sitting in the recliner with my foot propped up has just about gotten the best of me. I went to my orthopedist yesterday and graduated to a cain. Still cannot put full weight on my foot, but at least it's progress.
Last night I decided that I could take a bath, not a shower, by myself. My husband was at work. Soooooooooooo, after 10 last night, I ran water in the tub and got in. It felt soooo good! I soaked and soaked, and enjoyed it so much. Then came time to get out. I couldn't. I let the water out of the tub, got my towel and dried myself off, then dried the tub as much as possible. I could reach my gown and my brace, so I put them on. But try as I might, I could not get out! I had decided that I was just going to have to stay in the tub until my husband got home at midnight. Then I started praying. I asked God to please show me how to get out of the tub. He did! I rolled over onto my right side, threw my left leg (brace and all) over the side of the tub, and somehow managed to get myself up to where I was straddling the side of the tub. I reached across the toilet to the cabinet and managed to pull myself over onto the toilet. Both legs were out of the tub! I was exhausted, but I said another prayer, thanking God for helping me out! I guess I'll be a shower girl from now on!
With all of the serious stuff going on, I thought all of you could use a laugh! It's funny to me, NOW, but it surely wasn't when it was happening!
Thanks for reading all my mush,
Susan
