Tomorrow is my day !!!
Well I started this journey January 2, 2004. Tomorrow, December 14, 2004 is my surgery. I could never express what this site has done for me.
I will be there with my mother and father for the first 2 days. If Dr Cleveland can do my surgery lap, they will go home(mom will drive me crazy if she stays longer LOL) If not lap, then she will stay as long as I need her. Since Kevin just had surgery, he is not able to even ride down there. He is a nervous wreck and is not faring me being away very well. Please remember him in your prayers as he is so upset that he can not be with me. My mother's name is Ruth, and my father's name is Lamar.
Please be prepared for me to go to the ICU after surgery. I am a lazy breather and always have to go to ICU b/c my o2 stat is too low. It even dropped to low when I had my scope done!!! If I do not go to the unit I will be in complete SHOCK!!!
If anyone calls to check on me, you can ask for Ruth Yarbrough, she will be close(mamas are great aint they?) If I have lap she will go home on Wed afternoon and then it will be yours truely answering the phone. I have had so many surgeries that I feel comfortable being there alone.
Please be in prayer for me!!! We will leave here at 2am to be at the hospital at 5am for my check in.
You gals stay in line while I am away!!!! Dont give the guys a hard time, and to you pre ops... Do not give up!!!! Many times thru the last year I have wondered if I would ever get the surgery, and here I am proof that if you hang in there like a bulldog your day will come!!

Donna,
I am so excited for you. I know you are anxious and excited, as well. I will be thinking about you and praying for you as you make your journey to the LOSER side.
We will all be here waiting for you when you return. GOOD LUCK!! Remember to get up and walk, walk, walk. It truly is the key to getting better.

Hello Donna, I am so glad your day has finally come. You are right, we should not give up. I will be praying for you and Dr. Cleveland. Just remember, this will make life easier to enjoy. I look forward to my day, someday. I have been praying for your husband as well. Take care and hurry back to tell us all about it. Smiles, Jan
Hiya Donna!!!!!!
Your day is only a few hours away!! You are in my prayers!! I can't wait to see you back on the board, talking about your delicious broths and jellos!! BTW I hope you like Crystal Lite, cause that is what you will get on your tray along with your broth and jello!
Tell Dr C hello for me. I don't go see him again until March. So I guess I am doing good! The nurses are good up there, but if you do seem to run into a problem with any of them, just tell DR C and he will be more than happy to take care of it. I know
Love ya Girl,
~Jo~
P.S. It's hard to get in the fluid.. but try, and if you fail,, TRY again!

Your gonna do great 2morrow morning. Its going to be a wonderful expierience... granted probably not at first but it will be fine. Practice deep breathing now... you will be thankful when Resp Therapy comes in with their little sprirometer things. They are evil!
I will call and check on you--I may accidently call you Donna Looser though---who knew--I actually thought that was your last name.
GOOD LUCK!
Donna,
I want to wish you the best of luck with your surgery. You and your husband have been in my prayers and will continue to be until you are both better and up and running. I pray that your surgery goes well and you have an uneventful recovery. Hopefully you can have it done lap and that will help some. Tell your hubby he is in my prayers and he just needs to rest and pray for you.
Best Wishes
Becky
