My husband hurt his back at work in August. He has been in severe pain ever since, but they just kept giving him pain pills and telling him it would get better. Well, he finally threw a fit on Monday with the doc. The doc ordered an MRI. He got the results yesterday and the neurosurgeon worked us in today, and guess what??? His back is so bad that he cancelled one of his surgeries tomorrow to do hubby ASAP. Please remember him in prayer. He will get out of the hospital hopefully on Saturday and then will not be able to go with me on Tuesday for my WLS surgery. He is very nervous. He has never had to have surgery before and if it had not been so dangerous for him to post pone his surgery he would have to be with me on Tuesday, BUT I spoke up and told the surgeon it would be great to do it tomorrow and we would be there bright and early. Please remember him in your prayers.

Hi Donna, Your hubby is in my prayers! I pray that God guides the hands of the surgeon and his staff. And that you hubby has a quick recovery. And also pray that God gives him the peace that he needs so that he would be so nervous. Wow you will be on the losing side with me shortly. Time is flying. I pray that your recovery is a speedy one too. And that God will guide the hands of Dr C and his staff! You are in good hands, I mean look... God and Dr C... what more can a person ask for?? Hey Donna, I'm so sorry to hear about your hubby. Why on earth did they wait so long to do anything? I think I'd be raising some cane with them about that. He will do fine. The Good Lord will see yall through. He may be up doing jumping jacks before you know it. I had spinal surgery when I was only 15 for syringomyelia Big word huh? You ought to have to explain that one to grown ups when your 15. I was in the hospital for a nice little stay of 13 days. But at least I did get to have my own private duty nurses for 6 of those days. My doctor didn't want me in ICU with everyone else. He wanted me to be the only person on the nurses minds. They earned their money those last couple of days with me. I was a hand full from back yonder. FYI: NEVER tell a 15yr old child "You better Not", "Don't you Dare", "Sit Still", "You can't walk Yet", etc. I yell BATHROOM. They yell BEDPAN. You might as well tell the child to go ahead and do whatever it is they want... Unless you can tie them down, sit on them, or stand over them all the time. Whew.... That brings back alot of memories for the summer of 1984.
