Hey all here i was thinking about how easyly I went through all the test no prob right my dr sent the results friday to Jackson so i was . Well I should know nothing in my life stays that way for long grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. So I went to pulmonologest friday had a long talk with him he said he didnt feel i had apneas so he was allf or the surgery but wanted me to bring a oxygen monitor home to wear one night and bring back for them to read the results.. I thought no problem right WRONG. Now he feels i have sleep apnea and wants me to have a sleep study done and his nurse said it will be anywhere from two weeks to Three months before they can get me in in Hattiesburg to have it. Just makes me want to knowing it may be as long as 4 months or longer now before i can have the surgery. Makes me want to him for his last minute thoughts. I know it is better that they know it before the surgery but still makes me cry ya know grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Ok enough of the pity party you all have a great day and i will be thinking of you all daily> Hope to get back to exercizing at the health managemnet connection (great place to work out btw) by friday if i am over the croop i have Love ya all bunches

I had my sleep study at Anderson's in Meridian. They will put you on a list and call when somebody cancels. My orginal appt for my sleep study was like 6 months off and when my PCP heard, he say NOPE, you will have it this week!!! And I did...Here's the number....601-553-6491 - make sure that you tell them you are in line for the bariatric surgery. They seem to tend to bend over backwards to get you in faster if you are planning on having the surgery. Don't despair!!! Smoochers, Arlies PS let us know!

Barry, they told me when I called the Sleep Center in Hattiesburg last October that it would be December 20 before they could get to me. I panicked. But when Dr. Whitehead's office called and scheduled the appointment, it was much sooner than that, and a few days later they called me and asked if I could come in the next day for the first part of the testing. Then, within a few days, they called again and had me come in for the sleep part. At the Sleep Center they do half-night studies. They monitor you for the first half of the night, and then put you on a C-Pap machine for the last half. Within a week after the testing my machine was ordered and I was on the way to much needed rest! I don't even have to get up to go to the john anymore at night. They do try to work faster with bariatric patients. Have faith! Susan
