A Slight Change of Plans....

The Bariatric nurse, Lisa, at Keesler called me this am and asked if she could change my appointment so that she could put me under a different doctor. So now my appointment is Dec 9 at 11:15 with Dr. Jenkins. She told me that he is the doc that she talked to about me that first day when I called and asked. He is the Cheif Surgeon - the boss of the other surgeons! She said he would be more receptive to doing my surgery than Dr. Mann....I didn't ask why...whether it is due to my size or whether it is the fact that I am a retiree's dependent with Tricare Standard....BUT he is the doc that told her to tell me to get all my stuff in that he wanted to see me! Even the billeting on base coorporated! I moved our reservation from the 2nd to the 9th and even kept the same confirmation number! So different doc and slide a week....this will work a little better for me financially, too. Smooches & Hugs Arlies

I am not POSITIVE the informational meeting is tonight, however the support group meeting is tonight and they try to have them on the same nights. Yes my friend is a member of OH. That sounds wonderful!!!!!!!! Congratulations Arlies. God just had different plans for you, and He is paving the road for you and has been all the time. I am so very happy for you girl, and so glad you did not get so discouraged that you gave up. Again, Congratulations!!!!

I have all of my fingers crossed that this will be your pre-op visit and your surgery will be scheduled (and done) immediately! I know how hard it is to wait, and wait, and wait.
