Hello Arlies Thanks for the info I am encouraged by what you said. Wouldn't it be awesome if we did finally get a date and especially if Whitehead took Voc Rehab. That would be great. I have hope now since your info. I don't care if it is Feb I just was afraid it wouldn't come about. Love to talk to you on the boards and I do lurk alot. About twice a day at least. You are so funny. You should be a writer. And Dex brings out the best in you. Or is it the worst? What about the carpool to go see Dex naked in the street? I will volunteer my van and gas that isfor sure. Let me know. Jane

Hi Jane... Did you read the email that Sandra Thompson posted earlier about the response she got about Voc Rehab and Dr. Whitehead. It looks promising. I hope you are doing well...

Hello Christine I did and do you think I need to submit mine or just wait and see. The lady helping me in Voc Rehab is not very nice and open. She just wants to wait. I don't know. Jane

Jane, I just read your response to Arlies and trying to give you some form of hope. I would put in everywhere I could just to make sure all of my T's are cross and I's dotted. My case mgr. is very friendly and helpful here in Hattiesburg and that's how I got any response from anybody. Janet called her and she is talking it over with Dr. Whitehead. I just hope he takes it. I know it will probably overwhelm him and tirer him out doing more surguries, but looks like he has more associates than in Jackson. And look at how big Jackson is and only have a Dr. and a half doing this type of surgery. Dr. Salemeh generally doesn't do this type of surgery but 30% of the time. Now do they expect him to give up all of his other patients to his other surguries to someone else? It is obvious he likes that type of surgery better, because he does it 70% more. Does anyone know, what is the other type of surgery that he do anyway? I don't know. It make me so at all the stuff I've done to get here and now at a stand still.

Dr. Salameh does some trauma surgery, but he is mostly a general surgeon. Dr. Blake was(is) primarily a trauma surgeon. Neither of them ever did this full time. I think that may be why they are kicking around this "new" baraitric clinic, but don't know that for sure. I agree that somebody should be doing this full time, but there may not (is that possible?) be enough canidates for UMC to justify a full time WLS doc...dunno...pure guess... But CMMC, St Dominic and probably Baptist (don't know for sure about them) all do WLS. smooch Arlies

well yall my opinion on the bariatric clinic is that every hospital should have one that has there OWN OR!!! and has at least 2 FULL TIME bariatric surgens on staff! and at least 2 on call at all times!! cause you know that the demand for this surgery now out weighs the means! just my OPINION!! God Bless, Angie Bea
