What I learned at the UMC support group meeting.....

Well, it was a very small crowd last night...About a quarter or less than the number of folks that usually show up....BUT we made up for it...So here's my list of what I learned.... 1. I can now make a BEAUTIFUL tissue paper flower! It was great fun! 2. Amelia Vaugh looks wonderful!!! And skinnier by 23 lbs in 3 weeks! 3. Austin only loves me for the lights and buttons on Chrisitne (The possessed Hoverround chair!) 4. Dr. Salameh does lap BAND 5. All Dr. Blake's patients WILL have surgery, but it may take a while... 6. Dr. Salameh will probably do all our surgeries.... 7. Dr. Blake may or may not be back and we don't know when... 8. Daphne has a new man friend!!! 9, UMC will probably NOT be taking new patients until mid-2005.... 10. Dr. Salameh loves me best...(Okay I just made this one up so I'd have a number 10!) When they opened the floor for discussion after Dr. Salameh spoke, there was a dead uncomfortable silence, so I said, "Okay, I'll ask. Is Dr. Blake coming back and when is he coming back?" Still no answer on that other than they are hoping he will be back but cannot project a time frame...and Dr. Salameh stated he would not talk about the reasons for the absence because the reasons are personal. Now all you chicken lips, with your picket signs, where were you????? Angie Bea, Amelia and I were so lonesome for you! We met a kindergarten teacher from Hattisburg and a lady from Meridian...and we gave them the info for this site and ORDERS to visit and post!!! Love to all! Smoochies Arlies

#10 was my favorite! I hope the folks you met do come and post. I also pressure people into coming and posting--haha...it really is just so helpful! Anyway--sorry I couldnt make it---just too long to drive and I am back at work now. Maybe I will come every other month. Yall can come to ours too----we like newbies!
