Ankle is broken!

My ankle is broken, and it hurts like the dickens. My knee is fine according to the ER doctor, but it hurts as bad as the ankle! Will see my orthopedic doctor tomorrow. They (ER personnell) said it should not interfere with my surgery. I surely hope not! My good humor finally broke after 3 hrs in the ER and I begged for something for pain. I have a splint on it until I see my regular doctor tomorrow. Hope I can keep the splint and not a hard cast! Thanks for all your prayers, and the visits also! Susan

Oh goodness.... That doesnt sound pleasant AT ALL. I feel so bad for you! Have you talked to Janet or Dr. Whitehead about this and your surgery. I just worry about you not being able to get up and move around after surgery. Maybe it will be ok. We still have a good month ahead of us before your surgery. I am glad thats all it was though--glad nothing major was hurt. Let me know if I can do anything for you. Christine

So sorry about your injury. Being large doesn't help. Hopefully you are not as large as me. If I broke an ankle it would be wheelchair city for me. I will pray for you and know I am a housewife so I can be avavilable if you get in a bind. Truly sorry to hear about that ankle and hopefully that knee if okay. Jane

Thanks to all for the many e-mails and well wishes. I am going to orthopedist this morning. Maybe I will know more about it then. I can tell you it hurts like the devil! Always something, isn't there!
