Donna Looser got some good stuff at GNC... I am sure she will post when she reads this. I myself buy Slim Fast Low Carb Diet--It comes in Vanilla, Stawberry, and chocolate. They have 20g of protein. I also like Advantage shakes - they come in the same flavors. Also, I like the Carb Solutions Rich Chocolate shake. You should also go ahead and get you some crystal lite. I like the Raspberry Ice and Lemonade. I freeze it in a water bottle and sip on it thru the day. Its better than water all day. Also get you some sugar free popcicles. They saved me. I didnt get any before surgery and it was 4 days after I got home that I finally bought some. I so needed them.... After your surgery you will probably be on liquids for a week or so... stock up now on soups and broths. Hopefully you wont have HEAD hunger like I did.... on my liquid diet I could have cottage cheese and runny grits. Ask your doc if this is ok. Good luck to you--- I know you are so excited!

Isopure Dutch Chocolate is A1. I have a very ticky eater that is 11y/o female and she even loves it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Designer Whey has some that do not have that much of a taste to them, but nothing compared to Isopure to me.

hi Glenda, I've tried several and I'm pretty convinced on unjury. I like the vanilla flavor but it comes in chocolate and unflavored as well. The main thing I like about it, there is absolutely no aftertasted. I had a tub of dutch chocolate isopure pre-op and drank almost the whole thing trying to "build up" protein before surgery, afterwards I couldn't stand it any more, the aftertaste was nasty. So be careful with what you buy now, you may have a change in taste. Another I found that is really good is Matrix 5.0,again absolutely no aftertaste, but the chocolate and vanilla are a little rich and sweet, even though it's artificially sweetened, they may be too strong for some. I love them. Got myself a 5 lb bag for like 28.00 online the other day. Wonderful deal, because I religiously drink two shakes a day. Hope this helps a little Andrea 334-244-140 6-23-04

Don't spend a lot of money on expensive stuff! Go to Wal-Mart and buy sugar free Carnatin instant breakfast, Carb Countdown dairy beverage, Total protein cereal, Carb-well cereal bars, Carb-well cereal. Buy small quanitites until you know you like the stuff. They have have protein/whey powders too. Start using it before your surgery, and do yourself a favor STOP DRINKING CARBONATED DRINKS. I took one month to give up my Diet Cokes. I haven't had any since 02-01-2004!!!
