Can't Win
Hi everyone, well you all ask me to post so here I am. Do any of you all feel like you can't win for losing. Well here I goes!! I am currently under Dr. Roger Blake's office and as you all know everything is at a stand still at his office. I have completed everything I have to do and waiting on a surgery date. I called this morning my case Mgr. at Voc. Rehab. to see if she can get any answers in Jackson or me a possible surgery date. I also tried to go through another doctor here in Hattiesburg and transfer over, but you have to attend one of his seminars and fill out an application before he see's you. It doesn't matter if you already have everything done already. Their next meeting is Dec 2, at 6:30 at the YMCA. Sooo!! I am at a stand still with no place to go except to wait. I am so right now. If anyone knows how to get into Dr. Whiteheads office ASAP Please!!!!!!!! let me know. Christine Help!!!!!!!!
Sandra,
It will be fine. Attend the meeting on Dec 2. Its not that far away. Fill out the packet. Return it the following day. Call the next 2 days and ask about it. They are really quick over there to get you in. Once you get in--- they will probably just need all your other records. I think it will move really fast. What did they say about Voc Rehab?? Did you mention it? DO this and in the mean time if Dr. Blake comes back then everything is ok. If you wait around it may take even longer. Dont fret. I waited 4 weeks for my seminar and it was on the coast! I know how you are feeling but dont get discouraged. This surgery is worth the wait!
Hey sweets,
In that same boat with you! I should have had my pre-surgery appt on Oct 5 and would have had surgery no later than Dec 20....Oh, well....I call and call and call and ask and ask and ask and must say i am pretty discouraged at this point too. I have tricare and don't have any options either - other than Keesler and it's too far away, but I am getting desparate....
Smooch,
Arlies
Hello Arlies, you hang in there too. Bet you didn't know I would be checking in on ya, did ya? Remember that this is a decision you are making for a life time to combat a problem you have been battling for a lifetime. As anxious as we can get for things to happen now, it really hasn't taken that long in perspective to your life. It WILL happen and you WILL be succussful. When everything seems to be really getting tough, remember the doc that believes in YOU!
