Today my mother called me and asked if I had a bike. I told her I didnt but that we were planning on getting each other one for Christmas. She said "Shucks, I wanted to go on the Longleaf Trace." So, I went to Wal-mart bought me a bike and some shorts (16/18-down from 2X) and a shirt (16/18 down from 2X) and we went riding. We got on at the Jackson Rd depot and rode to USM depot. It was 4.1 miles each way. Once we got to USM we stopped and visited with some people we knew tailgating and then headed back out.... So, we rode 8.2 miles. Of course we had to stop and walk a little cause our butts were sore. We had a ball. 8.2 Miles! It took us an hour each way. May sound slow to some but it was our first time. Depending on how our legs feel tomorrow--we are planning on doing it again with our spouses. Cool huh!

EXCELLENT!!!!!! I can't wait until I can ride a bike again....That's one of my goals - that and walking!!! I love to ride....For the first trip, you did extraordinary!!! That's a long way and you will fEEL it tomorrow, but go again...the more you go the sooner the sore will wear off....Take lots to drink! Smoochers, Arlies

I dont know if I can stand it. My butt hurts sooo bad. I need to get a bigger seat or some cushion or something. Ouch... still very sore. But it was fun!
