BRRRRRR.....
True story....
We lived in Minot, ND for 6 years. Minot is billed as 7 miles past the end of the world....I have seen it so cold that when you go outside, you can literally feel your scalp freezing if you don't have a hat on!
BUT my kiddos loved going out and spitting. BECAUSE THE SPIT WOULD FREEZE BEFORE IT HIT THE GROUND AND WOULD SHATTER WHEN IT HIT THE GROUND!!! They actually did that!!! The coldest I've ever seen was 110 below with the wind chill. And at that point, it doesn't matter if there is a wind chill or not!!!! AND in ND, you don't have to get inspection stickers on your vehicle. They figure if your vehicle isn't in good enough running order you won't survive the first winter anyhow!!!! Their saying is "The cold keeps the riftraft out." Also during the winter when you go to the mall or grocery store and it's real cold, EVERY car in the parking lot is running while folks are shopping otherwise they won't crank to take you home!! We also had plugs to keep the battery and oil pain warm!
Smoochers,
Arlies
PS I am cold too!!!!
Me Too !!!
I may go light the fireplace just to warm my big booty.
Then turn it right back off.
Thank the Good Lord for gas fireplaces !!!
Oh no, if I turn it on..... I may want to put up the Christmas tree !!!
HELP !!! THOUGHTS OF ELVE'S ARE RUNNING THROUGH MY MIND !!!
I LOVE CHRISTMAS !!!
Wonder if I really could get away with putting the old Christmas tree up ?
Hmmmmm.
The wheels, they are a turning......
Love the cold but not used to it that is for sure.
The fair is in Poplarville and I love when it is cold for that. Makes it more fairish. Is that a word? Oh well.
Glad you are well Christine. Hope all is well. I am trying to keep my chin up. Kristy said no deal and she felt it would be after Christmas at least before I would know anything. There is a reason for everything. God is good.
Love ya
Jane
Ok.. I wanna speak for all Posties...
to all the pre-bies.... GET SWEATERS when they go on sale after christmas!!
I haven't been cold in years. All my insulation gave me plenty protection.
Today I sat at work with this fuzzy thick Gap Sweater on, my hands buried in the kangapouch and I still froze. Tomorrow I am bringing my thick fuzzy slippers to work with me. Not sure if its because they don't heat the building or what, but I swear it was as cold inside as it was outside.
BE PREPARED !!! you'll think you'll enjoy being cold. I hate cold. Thats why I chose to live here in the extreme south, on the coast where it snows once every ten years and then melts the next day.
Frustrating. But anyways, it's worth it ... stock up guys !! :sexy :
