Today during my appointment Dr Cleveland had to go do emergency surgery on Donna. I could not get any post op info since I was not a family member, but she did NOT go back to her room. She must have gone to ICU. Please be praying for her!!!!!!!!!!

I just talked to Patty, Donna T's daughter. She and her brother are at CMMC with her. They are staying in the Critical Care overnight area and will get to go in one more time tonight to see her. Now here's what happened. Donna T's side began hurting REALLY REALLY badly. When Dr. Cleveland came in, he said her labs didn't make sense. She has developed a small hole or tear in her small intestine. He did surgery to repair the tear or hole and cleaned out her abdominal cavity - remember she had the leak test. Right now she is still on the venilator because her breathing is not so good. They are keeping her sedated until they can get her 02 levels up. Patty gave me her cell number to check on her - I will pass it along if you email me. Man, I am SO upset about this, because when I talked to her yesterday, she sounded so good! Patty said she was doing GREAT but she went south EXTREMELY fast. Keep her in your prayers. Arlies

Oh My Word! Poor Donna T. Sending out prayers now and I'll get a gang going at the church. Arlies thanks for bringing this to the mainboard too. The more the better. It was the prayers of people I've never met That made my miraculous turn around. Best Wishes- Dx

Geez, guys, that's just pityful.. I feel so sorry for Donna and hope she quickly recovers from this... please extend my best wishes to her and her family. This is why it makes me so mad when people say " we just took the easy way out" !! This surgery is ANYTHING but easy and there is lots of stuff that CAN go wrong. If the doc got it all fixed though, she'll be up and recovering in no time. Please, you guys who haven't had surgery yet, make sure you talk to your families about what COULD happen and be prepared. Arlies or Donna thanks for sharing, if you get to talk to her / her family, let them know they are in our prayers. Andie
