The Power of Music
Hey Guys
I was over checking out the message board of my favorite band, Journey. Yes, i know, i'm stuck in the 80's...but these guys are still together and writing some GREAT music. Anyway, someone started a topic about one of Journey's songs that was a big support and motivator for me to go ahead with this surgery. I listened to this song for months before deciding to definitely go ahead with the surgery and it helped a lot.
I have made the song accessible to you guys on the web if you want to listen to it. The song is called "Walking Away From The Edge".

Also, here is a link to the post I made on Journey's message board regarding this song:

A man after my own heart you are Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Journey!!!!!!!!
You will have to tell me how to be able to do that. I love to listen to music while I am online and have dsl. I had bunches of music downloaded before my puter crashed and I had to get a new hard drive. What do you use to download music or link to it online like you did this one(like a whole album)
You know most who love Journey are romantics!!!!!!!!
Wow Jimmy!!!!
Im a Journey fan too, but I had never heard that song until just now! I am writing this through my tears after listening to it for the 3rd time! What a powerful song...esp for someone who has battled any addiction..even food. It really hit home with me! Thanks so much for the link! Now I'll have to find out what album it is on and go buy it.
I listened to three different songs over and over before my surgery to give me courage. Leann Womack's "I Hope You Dance", Garth Brooks' "The Dance" and Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying". I'm not even that big of a country music fan, but those three songs really hit home with me!
Let me know if you come across any other ones!

That song is off their latest CD. I think it's only available on their web site. www.journeymusic.com The CD is called Red 13 and it only has 4 songs on it, but they are all awesome.
I really like the TimMcGraw song when i first heard it. It was very inspiring.
I'll let you know if I come across any more gems
Take Care Kristi!
