BC/BS of Mississippi

Does anyone know the requirements for BC/BS of Mississippi for them to approve RNY suregery?

Hey--- Its my understanding that BC BS of MS will NOT cover this procedure AT ALL! Nothing, nada, zilch... No matter what you give them.

I have BC/BS of Ms and they do not under any cir****tances for any reason pay for the surgery they consider it to be cosmetic .....Imagine that !!!!!!................Sherry..........

I also have been battling BC/BS. BC/BS has a Provider Policy and Procedure outline which gives the guidelines of medical necessity. Only a provider has access to this document. Try your PCP, if he is in the BC/BS provider network he can access the information on the provider website. Good Luck! Vickie Rogers

bcbs is a royal b'witch. under so cir****tance will they pay for this at this time. my dr at university told them, along with 3 other dr that without this surgery, i would be dead in 3 - 5 yrs. their answer was basically go away and die and leave them alone. thank god for voc rehab and university hosp. good luck susan
