I tried the Roast Turkey Ranch & Bacon Wrap last night. It is HUGE!! I dont think anyone who hasnt had this surgery could eat it all. It was really good. I pulled most of the lettuce (or whatever that is) and wrap off and ate the turkey and bacon. I could only swallow about 2 bites. BUT--- being the food junkie I am --- I chewed up some more and spit it out after I got the taste of it some more. It was that good. I know that sounds gross but I have found that helps my head hunger. Its my mind that wants to taste it. Is this really that bad to do? Is it normal at this stage to still be having SOME head hunger issues. I seem to not want to eat all day until I get home. The minute I walk in the door I want to eat something. My friends say its habit because I have to cook for my family. I shouldnt want to eat and I dont until I get home. If I am out and we eat, I only eat a little (a few bites)...There is something about home. Also, I havent been eating breakfast. My weight loss has stalled at 23 pounds. I have been stuck here for 4 days. I just got off of my period and I am hoping this is why. Is plateauing normal at 3 weeks? Ugh, question after question. This morning I went ahead and cooked a soft boiled egg and half a peice of toast and ate it. I am fine didnt really want to eat it but I vaguely remember my nutritionist saying this was very important. Hopefully this will help kick it back into gear. Let me know what you all think.

Lots and lots of folks have plateaus shortly after surgery, so I think that is normal. Your poor body is struggling with this new way of living and just doesn't know what to think!!! I have heard when you stall, up the protein and up the water...course you know that's just what I've heard...haven't put it into practice yet!!! Honey, if you want some inspiriation, go read Amy Williams' profile....She has lost around 150 lbs in about 155 days...Almost a pound a day! She is just the greatest too...She is the one they profiled on MTV a while back... You are doing great Christine and in a while, you will have all these large chubby folks (who've just had surgery) following your skinny little self around, questioning you about EVERYTHING!!!! We love you girl!!! Smoochers, ARlies

CC, I would imagine that only being a month or so out of surgery that you probably wouldn't be able to eat one of those wraps yet. I had trouble eating 1 scrambled egg at 1 month out. Just give it some time...you will be able to eat more and more as time progresses. And trust me, you haven't quit losing weight...just a little hiccup in the weight loss...it's normal...i bet you are still losing inches for sure. Are you weighing every day?? Might want to just weigh once a week...might make it a little easier on your sanity cause it's going to fluctuate from day to day. Oh, are you going to the Rocky Horror Picture show tonight at the convention center?? A bunch of us are going and we are dressing up. Doby is going as Frank N' Furter. He's doing the garters, fishnets and high heels...should be a site to see I'm going as Eddie. We'll probably take pics....blackmail material maybe??? Later! Jimmy

Unfortunately we didn't get to take pictures. I made the mistake of going with a couple of guys from work who had never seen or "experienced" the movie. They got a little too drunk and ended up getting thrown out...oh well, children will be children. I wasn't fortunate enough in the prop department to find a saxophone but I had pretty much everything else. Even had LOVE & HATE temporarily tattooed on the knuckles Next time I think I will go with some folks who appreciate the movie and enjoy the audience participation instead of seeing how stoopid drunk they can get....oh well, we live and we learn Later Dx! Let me guess.... Vance and John??? Oh my god--how stupid was that. It must have been bad to get thrown out. I havent ever seen the movie either and my husband and I want too. I think it would be cool to dress up. Maybe next year ---you and Dex can help us get done up! I want hubby in the fishnets! HAHAHA

Christine.. take it from a four-month "outtie". The head hunger gets easier, but I dont think will ever go away altogether. I still want some stuff, but now I can handle looking at it and saying.. oh.. the calories aint worth it. Just trust me on that. I had major head hunger issues for a while. Now when I get like that..I start drowning myself in bottled water. After a few swallows, I forget about it. The weight loss... I know what you mean and do NOT let this get to you. You will stall out, go through weeks where you lose NOTHING or you bounce up and down a few pounds. NORMAL!! I see the inches dropping most of the time when I am not dropping pounds. I only lost like 10 lbs a month but pants that I couldnt even pull up over my hips 5 weeks ago are now pulling up easily and have only three or four inches till they close. Seriously.. you're doing things right.. learn as you go, and dont beat yourself up if you "cheat" -- Just get determined to get better at the healthy choices and try again. You are doing wonderful. As long as you LOSE, you're ok. Weigh no more than once a week, of you drive yourself insane. Take care and GREAT JOB !!! Andrea
