I have decided to start the Atkin's Diet. I have a friend at work that has been on it(and cheats) she was in a size 20 and now in a 9/10, she has been on it for a year now, and has done real well, She has given me pointers on it and said she would help me stick to it, so instead of going through the total stressfull deal again, I am going the atkins way. Hope everyone gets what the need and want, I hope to as well. God Bless and keep in touch. Connie

Hey Connie, I sure hate to see you give up. But I do understand that a person can only fight for so long. Who knows, you may lose all the weight you want to lose on that diet. And if you can do it without surgery, that is a very big plus. I hope that you will still come here and still chat with us on Saturdays. I'd hate to miss seeing your pretty smiling face here. Hope to talk to you soon. And Keep your head up. Hugs n Kisses, Tammy

I'llbe here. I still need support on the weight you know. I looked up the percentage that I would loose if I had the surgery, and it is only 70%; which is only 44 pounds, so If I loose that much I will be successful, and with my friend Teresa and family as well, I believe it will stay off this time. If not then I will just start again, with surgery or with out I will keep the fate. I believe if it was meant to be now it would have happened this time, but since I was denied again, and can't afford to finance at this time in my life this will be the best thing for me. Connie

You know Tara on the main board is doing it on her own too, and is a regular there!!!!!!!!!! No matter what path you choose I for one will always be herre to support you in your decision!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Atkins diet is so easy to follow and allows you to have almost everything you want to eat. Don't let it get boring!! I lost 25 pounds on Atkins right before surgery. I ate Tyson chicken wings for dinner with ranch dressing almost every night. Low carb slim fast for breakfast and meat and salad for lunch. It is so easy and you will drop the weight. Make sure to get vitamins before beginning. You need essential fatty acids which are oils! Best of luck to you. If you need help let me know! My mom went from a size 16 to a size 4 on Atkins. You can do it!! Kitsy

i've been taking flipstones for over a month now, may change the brand when i'm finished with these, my doc. said they were good though, and i can also share them with my daugther may just stay with them. Well, I'm in a 20 and have put my goal at this time to 15 pounds by Thanksgiving, just to prove to myself i can do this. If I can stick to it a month I should be able to keep it up I hope.
