Has anyone ever had dizzy spells that will not stop. The nurse practioner that I work with gave me antivert to take but its not working very well. I feels like my head is too heavy for my body. I always new that my body is too heavy for my head, but now I guess my head is taking revenge.

Hey Barbara, I've have had dizzy spells, but I also have inner ear. Which makes you dizzy and everything in the world around you is spinning. If you don't have inner ear, you need to go to the hospital or at least have your blood pressure checked. It could be something serious. Like a stroke, heart attack, etc. When my IE is acting up, I just hang onto my hubby and ask over and over, "I'm not moving am I ?" "Am I moving ?" I've had it since I was a baby and it is very upsetting. BC you can't control any of your movements when it is happening. Unless you call falling a controlled movement

Are you guys getting in enough fluids? If you are not that could be your cullprit. I hate inner ear. Anivert usually kicks right in and keeps me going. I usually have to go to bed for at least one day though. Hope you 2 get back on track soon!!!!!

found this on the main board Surgeon said to eat more SALT Original Post by Lisa W at 5:27 PM PST on 10/17/2004 This thread has been viewed 13 times E. Mesa, AZ - RNY (07/12/2004) I have been doing much much better now, though I still can't eat very much. The only problem I have, 3 months post-op, is that now when I go to stand up from sitting, I get dizzy. I went for my Dr. Appoinment and the surgeon said I need to eat more salt, that my sodium level is not high enough. I never ever thought I'd hear a Dr. say that. I didn't know that it would make you dizzy either. Getting calories in is still tough, though, because I am not hungry at all. But I get in about 500-600 a day, now, and don't worry about it. Now that I can eat cheese, the protein is easier to get it. Meats still don't agree with the pouch, and neither does fish. I am not sure if it is the meat and fish or the spices used in cooking it. Would I have the operation over again? In a heartbeat. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 14 in 3 months and am still losing. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. Lisa W
