We have had quite a few to have surgery lately and quite a few to finish pre op exams, so I thought we might do a comparison. When did you start your journey? Where are you at in your journey? When is your surgery date? I started Jan 2004. I have finished all pre op exams and am awaiting the meeting with my surgeon to do the scope and set up a surgery date.

Well, I haven't had surgery yet..... But I started thinking seriously about this in June or July of this year. I have met with Dr. Salameh for my 1st consult. I go next week on the 13th just to see just how crazy I am. I go on the 15th for Pulmonary testing. Then I get to go on Dec. 7th To the Sleep Disorder Clinic for my first appointment with them. I guess they will decide if I need to have the "sleep over" testing done. So, there is my short, but busy journey. I'd love to be getting things done alot faster. However, I know..... It takes time.

You are actually moving very fast for WLS. I started out with one dr and then changed or I would have already finished mine. About how long is the waiting period after the sleep thing? If his waiting period is not long you will be ready about in Jan right?

Hey, I have no idea how long it takes. It shouldn't take long, but I'm sure there will be other tests to do. Better safe than sorry though. However with my luck, I should be done in about 2-5 years. No really, maybe I'll be ready by the time Martha Stewart gets out of jail. I MISS MY MARTHA STEWART LIVING !!!

It seems to take quite a while. I started my journey in December 2003. All I have to do now is to have my blood work done and meet with the anesthesiologist next week before surgery. I had my gallbladder ultrasound this morning. My surgery is on October 25, 2004, with Dr. Salameh, then my real journey begins.

Yes you are very close too. It is great that you are getting lots of support at work. The way it is looking we should have several more surgeries before the end of the year. Boy wont that be a great new years resolution time.
