Surgery for Monday Cancelled

Not a happy camper, but I just found out that my surgery for Monday has been cancelled. Dr. Blake had an emergency come up. I will receive a phone call from Kristi on Monday to reschedule. I had everything set to go, including my husband's time requested off work. Oh well...

Oh, Melynda, I am so sorry for you and your husband. I know things can come up but for your husband to have his time off scheluled, that is really terrible. Not even counting your emotional stress. I will keep you in my prayers and maybe on Monday they will have a date very soon for you. You know , you, Arlie and I could all just have our surgery at the same time and make a wls party out of it. Thanks Jan. That would be really neat if it did fall like that. It would take some of the stress off having each other. It is really hard when you wait all week worrying about it and then to be called at the last minute to have it cancelled. I know how Christine felt now.

Hey Melynda, So sorry to hear your bad news. Maybe they can reschedule you pretty quick. Try and remember though, Things do happen for a reason. Doesn't make it any easier I know. But it does take a little of the sting away.

Hi Tammy, Your right it does help matters to think like that. You never know, maybe he would have had a bad day or somthing. As long as they only move it up like a week, I will be okay, if they wait till January, thats another story.lol

Hey Melynda, I hope you don't get to down about the cancellation ,they will get you rescheduled and ready to go in no time,keep your chin up girl ,i agree with Tammy you never know what God's reason for the postponement was but, he is in control girl.It won't be long now...............Sherry.......

I am so sorry that you got canceled.But maybe us Bobbsie triplets will all be there together to cheer each other on....Unfortunately a little bird (Kristi) told me that Dec is open, but nothing till then. I bet he will slide all a week and you'll get picked up first. But at any rate, as my sissie says, the longer you wait, the more experience Dr. B will have and that's good (of any doctor). Helps a little, but not much, huh?? Smoochies arlies

I am sorry Melynda. If it was an emergency then he would be stressed out while doing your surgery if it remained. Maybe you will get in within the week, and be the first for that day. Here's hoping you get in quick and recover just as quick. God bless you.

melynda so so sorry to hear about you being rescheduled. but remember, God has his reason for doing things. for some reason He didn't want you operated on that day. You will be rescheduled and then start a new life. Congrats on coming over to the losing side. susan
